Kelly Mero, chocolatier and founder of Kelly’s Chocolates, was taught by Ewald Notter, one of the finest confectionary chefs and artist in the world.
After graduating from the University of Portland, Kelly studied pastry arts on the east coast. She enjoyed each section of her European baking and pastry arts program, but chocolate captured her heart. Kelly says, “I was fascinated by the creative chocolate and sugar sculptures on display at the school, and knew that I wanted to be a chocolatier!”
This artist creates edible works of art, using chocolate as her medium. Each chocolate engages all the senses; flirtatiously appealing to the eye and tantalizing the palate. Mero is an innovator in flavors and technique, and creates each artisan chocolate using time-honored and honed skills. Each handcrafted chocolate masterpiece is made only from the finest ingredients; Swiss chocolate, pure fruit purees, Tahitian vanilla beans, and contain no additives or preservatives.
